Kala Red Light Elite Panel

Kala Red Light Elite Panel product photo

Product image: Kala product page.

The Kala Red Light Elite Panel is a 900 mm (about 35.4-inch) panel using 660 nm red and 850 nm near-infrared light.

Kala lists seven adjustable frequency settings and a pulse mode, and says it includes protective eyewear and a hanging kit. Note that the remote needs a battery you install yourself.

Kala claims 161 mW/cm² at 6 inches. Its page says 'FDA Cleared', but the Kala 510(k)s we found cover other products, not this panel. Some customer reviews on Kala's page mention a dated remote and a weak stand hinge.

Product page says 'FDA Cleared'. Kala 510(k)s exist for the Mini 2.0 (K251781), Therapy Wand and Face Mask, but we found none naming the Elite Panel.
FDA record or source

"Brand says cleared" means the brand or a retailer says it's FDA-cleared, but we haven't matched this exact product to a 510(k) record. FDA clearance is not FDA approval, and a listed specification isn't proof that a device works. How we check FDA status.

Terms on this page

nm
Nanometres, the unit for a light's wavelength (its colour). Red light is roughly 620–700 nm; near-infrared is above 700 nm.
mW/cm²
Milliwatts per square centimetre: how much light power reaches each square centimetre of skin (irradiance).
510(k)
The FDA premarket notification route. A cleared 510(k) means the FDA found the device substantially equivalent to one already on the market. It is not FDA approval.
