The MitoADAPT MAX 4.0 is Mito Red Light's 36-by-12-inch panel with 288 lenses (576 LED chips) and a 460 W rating.

Mito markets an eight-wavelength design with 11 possible modes; its page data lists five peaks (630, 660, 810, 830 and 850 nm). The brand says it covers the full body for most users.

It offers more mode options than most panels we list. A Mito-commissioned lab measured 49.4 mW/cm² on average at 6 inches, lower than the brand's MitoPRO 1500+, despite the higher price.

FDA statusNo clearance found
Brand says 'FDA Class II registered'; registration/listing with FDA is not the same as a 510(k) clearance. No 510(k) found in FDA's database by brand or product name.

"No clearance found" means we found no matching record in the FDA's database. That doesn't prove no clearance exists. FDA clearance is not FDA approval, and a listed specification isn't proof that a device works. How we check FDA status.

Terms on this page

nm
Nanometres, the unit for a light's wavelength (its colour). Red light is roughly 620–700 nm; near-infrared is above 700 nm.
mW/cm²
Milliwatts per square centimetre: how much light power reaches each square centimetre of skin (irradiance).
510(k)
The FDA premarket notification route. A cleared 510(k) means the FDA found the device substantially equivalent to one already on the market. It is not FDA approval.
