Therabody TheraFace Mask

Therabody TheraFace Mask product photo

Product image: Therabody product page.

The TheraFace Mask is an LED mask with 648 light sources, offering red, red + infrared and blue light modes plus vibration massage.

Therabody lists 633 nm red, 830 nm infrared and 415 nm blue light, with treatments of 3–9 minutes. Its VibraWave massage targets the eyes, brow and scalp. The mask includes removable protective eye shields and the FDA record shows a 510(k) clearance (K230293).

It combines light and massage in one device, and the brand says coverage extends around the eyes and lips. It's at the higher end on price among the masks we list, and Therabody doesn't publish its power output. Some customer reviews on Therabody's page describe the massage as loud.

FDA record or source

"FDA-cleared" means we matched this product to a 510(k) record: the FDA cleared it as substantially equivalent to an existing device for its labelled use. FDA clearance is not FDA approval, and a listed specification isn't proof that a device works. How we check FDA status.

Terms on this page

nm
Nanometres, the unit for a light's wavelength (its colour). Red light is roughly 620–700 nm; near-infrared is above 700 nm.
mW/cm²
Milliwatts per square centimetre: how much light power reaches each square centimetre of skin (irradiance).
510(k)
The FDA premarket notification route. A cleared 510(k) means the FDA found the device substantially equivalent to one already on the market. It is not FDA approval.
